Ingredients

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture.
- Gradually stir in the flour mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
Notes
- Use room-temperature butter for best results.
- Do not overmix the dough to avoid dense cookies.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
