Description
A delicious chocolate covered strawberry cake that combines rich chocolate cake with fresh strawberries and creamy chocolate frosting.

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup chocolate frosting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans to cool completely.
- Once cooled, spread chocolate frosting on top of one layer, add sliced strawberries, then place the second layer on top.
- Frost the top and sides of the cake.
- Garnish with additional strawberries on top.
Notes
- Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
- Store cake in the refrigerator.
- Let the cake sit for a few hours before serving for better flavor.
