Ingredients

- 200g all-purpose flour
- 200g granulated sugar
- 50g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 120ml vegetable oil
- 120ml milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 120ml boiling water
- 200g dark chocolate (for ganache)
- 200ml heavy cream (for ganache)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Add eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Pour in boiling water and stir until the batter is thin but well combined.
- Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- For the ganache, heat the cream until just boiling, then pour over chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth.
- Pour the ganache over the cooled cake and let it set before serving.

- Use high-quality cocoa powder for a richer taste.
- Let the cake cool before adding ganache to prevent melting.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
