- 4 large apples, cored and sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Spread the apple mixture in a baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine oats, flour, and melted butter.
- Add chopped nuts if desired.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture over the apples.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until apples are tender.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
- Can substitute apples with pears.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
