A festive treat combining sweet toffee with the fun of Christmas crackers.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt. Stir until combined.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and pour over the prepared baking sheet.
- Spread evenly and top with chopped nuts if desired.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before breaking into pieces.
