- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 4 cups stuffing
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Remove the giblets from the turkey and pat the turkey dry.
- In a bowl, mix the stuffing with chicken broth and half of the melted butter.
- Stuff the turkey with the stuffing mixture.
- Rub the outside of the turkey with the remaining butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan, breast side up.
- Cover the turkey loosely with aluminum foil.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes to allow the skin to brown.
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking.
- Adjust cooking time based on the size of the turkey.
- Serve with gravy and cranberry sauce.
