Description

Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey (1214 lbs)
  • 4 cups stuffing
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Remove the giblets from the turkey and pat the turkey dry.
  3. In a bowl, mix the stuffing with chicken broth and half of the melted butter.
  4. Stuff the turkey with the stuffing mixture.
  5. Rub the outside of the turkey with the remaining butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
  6. Place the turkey in a roasting pan, breast side up.
  7. Cover the turkey loosely with aluminum foil.
  8. Roast in the preheated oven for about 3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  9. Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes to allow the skin to brown.
  10. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.

  • Use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking.
  • Adjust cooking time based on the size of the turkey.
