Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups stuffing mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 cups cranberry sauce
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 3 cups green beans, trimmed
- 1 cup gravy
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry.
- Rub the softened butter all over the turkey.
- Mix the stuffing with chicken broth, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Stuff the turkey with the stuffing mixture.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for 3 to 4 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes.
- Prepare mashed potatoes and green beans while the turkey cooks.
- Make gravy from turkey drippings before serving.
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to check if the turkey is cooked to 165°F (75°C).
- Let leftovers cool before refrigerating.
