Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3 to 4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Food coloring (green, for decorating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
  6. Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into tree shapes.
  7. Place cookies on ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden.
  9. Cool on wire racks.
  10. Mix confectioners’ sugar, milk, and food coloring to create icing.
  11. Decorate cookies with icing.
