- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for coating)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Beat softened butter, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy.
- Form dough into small balls, flatten, and place a teaspoon of cream cheese filling in the center.
- Fold edges over and roll into balls. Place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- Brush with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar while warm.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra crispiness, reheat briefly in the oven.
- Adjust cinnamon sugar mixture to taste.
