- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and egg, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon for rolling.
- Scoop cookie dough into balls and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place the rolled cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the dough.
- Make sure not to overbake the cookies; they should remain soft in the center.
