Description
Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these churros are the perfect treat. Coated in cinnamon sugar and served with chocolate sauce for dipping, they are sure to please everyone!

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Chocolate sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball.
- Let the dough cool for about 5 minutes, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a shallow dish, mix together 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon for coating.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- Pipe 6-inch long strips of dough into hot oil, cutting with scissors to release.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Coat churros in cinnamon sugar while still warm.
- Serve immediately with chocolate sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Ensure oil is hot enough before frying to get crispy churros.
- You can use a regular piping bag if you don’t have a star tip.
- Serve churros fresh for the best texture.
