- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil lasagna noodles until al dente, then drain.
- Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in a pan.
- Add tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to the meat. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Mix ricotta cheese with egg in a bowl.
- Layer noodles, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella in a baking dish.
- Repeat layers and top with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use no-boil lasagna noodles for quicker prep.
- Substitute ground turkey for leaner meat.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
