Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 5 minutes.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of cookie dough and place them in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Cook the cookies in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are golden. They will continue to cook slightly after being removed from the air fryer.
  9. Allow cookies to cool in the basket for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • You may need to adjust cooking time depending on your air fryer model.
  • For chewier cookies, slightly underbake them.
