Description
Corned beef is a salt-cured beef product, often served in sandwiches or as a main dish.
Ingredients

- 4 pounds corned beef brisket
- 1 onion, quartered
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 8 cups water
- 2 tablespoons pickling spice
- 1 head cabbage, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Place corned beef in a large pot.
- Add onion, garlic, carrots, celery, and pickling spice.
- Cover with water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 3 hours.
- Add cabbage and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
- Remove beef and let it rest before slicing.
- Serve with vegetables.

- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Can also be made in a slow cooker.
