A delicious and cheesy hashbrown casserole that replicates the famous Cracker Barrel dish. Perfect as a side for breakfast or any meal.

- 1 (30 oz) package frozen hashbrowns, thawed
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hashbrowns, melted butter, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
- If desired, sprinkle crushed cornflakes on top for added crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute the cream of chicken soup with cream of mushroom soup for a different flavor.
- Feel free to add cooked bacon or diced ham for added protein.
- This casserole can be assembled ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
