Description

A quick and easy one-pot pasta dish with creamy Cajun flavors and smoked sausage.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add sausage and cook until lightly browned.
  3. Stir in bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add pasta, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 12-15 minutes until pasta is tender.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook for 2-3 minutes until creamy.
  7. Serve hot.

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste.
