- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
- 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, Parmesan, salt, pepper, basil, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
- Simmer for 3-4 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh basil instead of dried for a brighter flavor.
- Add vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes for extra nutrition.
