- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken, salt, and black pepper. Cook until golden and no longer pink (about 5-6 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 30 seconds.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Let it thicken for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
- Add cooked pasta and chicken back to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
- Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
