Ingredients

  • 12 oz (340g) Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sausage and cook until browned, breaking it into pieces.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, then bring to a simmer.
  5. Add tortellini and cook according to package instructions.
  6. Stir in spinach and cook until wilted.
  7. Mix in parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  8. Serve immediately.
