- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Add the heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, thyme, and oregano. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat and add the Parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the creamy lemon sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
