Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Add the heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, thyme, and oregano. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  7. Reduce the heat and add the Parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the creamy lemon sauce.
  9. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
