- 2 lbs (900g) potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Melt butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork.
- Add the garlic butter, milk, and heavy cream to the potatoes. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.

- For extra creaminess, use warm milk and cream.
