Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (900g) potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  3. Melt butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or fork.
  5. Add the garlic butter, milk, and heavy cream to the potatoes. Mix until smooth and creamy.
