Description

A hearty dish featuring tender steak with a creamy mushroom sauce served alongside crispy roasted potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 2 steaks (8 oz each)
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 4 medium potatoes, cubed
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Roast for 30 minutes.
  2. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Cook in a hot pan for 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Set aside.
  3. In the same pan, melt butter. Add mushrooms and garlic. Cook until mushrooms soften.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and thyme. Simmer for 3 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. Return steaks to pan. Coat with sauce. Serve with roasted potatoes.

Notes

  • Use ribeye or sirloin steak for best results.
  • Adjust cooking time for preferred steak doneness.
  • Add a splash of white wine to the sauce for extra flavor.
