Crispy and delicious homemade apple chips made easily in the air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples, any variety of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
  • Cooking spray or oil for spraying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Wash and dry the apples. Core and slice them thinly, ideally about 1/8 inch thick. You can use a mandoline for even slices.
  3. In a bowl, toss the apple slices with cinnamon and sugar if using, to coat evenly.
  4. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  5. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches.
  6. Air fry the apple slices for about 15 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
  7. Once done, remove the apple chips from the air fryer and allow them to cool before serving. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of nutmeg or ginger.
  • If you prefer a sweeter chip, feel free to increase the sugar.
  • Store any leftover apple chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
