- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness.
- Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano in a shallow dish.
- Coat chicken in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then press into breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Place chicken on a baking sheet, top with marinara sauce and mozzarella.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cheese melts.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
- Serve over pasta or with a side salad.
- For extra flavor, add fresh basil on top.
