- 12 rice paper wrappers
- 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken or tofu
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup chopped cabbage
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Oil for frying
- Dipping sauce of choice
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken or tofu, carrots, cabbage, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
- Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10-15 seconds until soft.
- Lay the softened wrapper on a flat surface. Place 2 tablespoons of the filling mixture in the center of the wrapper.
- Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll from the bottom to the top to form a tight dumpling.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the dumplings to the hot oil, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove the dumplings from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
