Ingredients

  • 12 rice paper wrappers
  • 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken or tofu
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup chopped cabbage
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Oil for frying
  • Dipping sauce of choice

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken or tofu, carrots, cabbage, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  2. Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10-15 seconds until soft.
  3. Lay the softened wrapper on a flat surface. Place 2 tablespoons of the filling mixture in the center of the wrapper.
  4. Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll from the bottom to the top to form a tight dumpling.
  5. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  6. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the dumplings to the hot oil, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove the dumplings from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
