- 3–4 pounds corned beef brisket
- 1 medium onion, quartered
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 1 head of cabbage, cut into wedges
- 4 medium carrots, chopped
- 4 medium potatoes, quartered
Instructions
- Place the corned beef brisket in the crock pot.
- Add the onion, garlic, and spices on top.
- Pour in the beef broth.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Add the carrots and potatoes, then cook for an additional 2 hours.
- In the last hour, add the cabbage wedges.
- Remove the meat and let it rest before slicing.
- Serve with vegetables and broth.
