A simple and flavorful dish made with sausages and bell peppers, slow-cooked to perfection in a crock pot.
Ingredients

- 1 lb Italian sausages
- 2 large bell peppers, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Brown sausages for 2-3 minutes per side.
- Transfer sausages to the crock pot.
- Add bell peppers, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes to the crock pot.
- Pour chicken broth over the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Serve hot with crusty bread or over rice.
Notes
- You can use sweet or spicy Italian sausages.
- Add chopped tomatoes for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
