Description

A simple and flavorful dish made with sausages and bell peppers, slow-cooked to perfection in a crock pot.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausages
  • 2 large bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Brown sausages for 2-3 minutes per side.
  2. Transfer sausages to the crock pot.
  3. Add bell peppers, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes to the crock pot.
  4. Pour chicken broth over the ingredients.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  6. Serve hot with crusty bread or over rice.
