- 1 pound beef flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain
- 2 cups broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, beef broth, and rice vinegar until smooth.
- Place sliced beef in the crockpot and pour the sauce over the beef, stirring to coat.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the beef is tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add broccoli florets to the crockpot, stirring to combine.
- Serve over cooked rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
- You can add other vegetables like carrots or bell peppers for a more colorful dish.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
