Description

A flavorful and easy-to-make sandwich with Cuban-inspired flavors, cooked in a crockpot for tender meat and melty cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork shoulder, sliced
  • 1/2 lb ham, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lb Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 4 Cuban rolls or hoagie buns
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 8 dill pickle slices
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Layer pork shoulder and ham in the crockpot.
  2. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until meat is tender.
  3. Slice rolls and spread mustard on both sides.
  4. Layer cheese, meat, and pickles inside the rolls.
  5. Butter the outside of the sandwiches.
  6. Grill in a panini press or skillet until golden and cheese melts.

Notes

  • Use leftover pulled pork for a quicker version.
  • Press sandwiches firmly for the best texture.
