Description
A simple and flavorful dish made with sausage and bell peppers, cooked slowly in a crockpot for maximum taste.
Ingredients

- 1 lb Italian sausage (sweet or spicy)
- 3 bell peppers (red, yellow, green), sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Brown the sausages in a pan over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove and slice.
- Place sliced bell peppers, onions, and garlic in the crockpot.
- Add the sliced sausages on top.
- Pour in diced tomatoes and chicken broth.
- Sprinkle with oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Serve hot, optionally with crusty bread or over rice.
Notes
- Use any type of sausage you prefer.
- Add crushed red pepper for extra heat.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
