Ingredients

  • 4 lbs boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 hamburger buns
  • Coleslaw for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, chicken broth, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the boneless chicken thighs in the crockpot and pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the top.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  4. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce in the crockpot.
  5. Serve the BBQ chicken on hamburger buns and top with coleslaw if desired.

Notes

  • You can prepare the BBQ sauce mixture a day ahead to save time.
  • This recipe can easily be doubled for larger gatherings.
