Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Remove the giblets from the chicken.
  2. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  3. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  4. Place the lemon halves and fresh herbs inside the cavity of the chicken.
  5. Place the chicken in the crockpot, breast side up.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Remove the chicken and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
