  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Bake as directed on the box.
  3. While warm, poke holes in the cake with a fork.
  4. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the cake, letting it soak in.
  5. Combine coconut, pecans, butter, evaporated milk, sugar, and egg yolks in a saucepan. Cook until thickened.
