Description

Classic deviled eggs made with hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, and spices for a creamy and flavorful appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Once boiling, cover the pot, remove from heat, and let sit for 12 minutes.
  3. Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water and let cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place them in a bowl.
  5. Mash the yolks with a fork and mix in mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  6. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  7. Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with chives or parsley before serving.
