Description

Soft and chewy double chocolate chip cookies packed with rich cocoa and melty chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture. Mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • For crispier cookies, bake an extra 2 minutes.
  • Replace chocolate chips with white chocolate or nuts if preferred.
