- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Add buttermilk, egg, melted butter, vanilla, and red food coloring. Stir until smooth.
- Pour batter into greased donut molds, filling halfway.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool donuts on a wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze.
- Dip cooled donuts in glaze and let set before serving.
Notes
- Use a piping bag for easy batter transfer into molds.
- Adjust food coloring for deeper red color.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
