- 400g pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté until softened.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato sauce, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain pasta and mix with the beef sauce.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
