- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring chicken broth, carrots, and celery to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in milk and melted butter to form a dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough into the simmering broth.
- Cover and cook for 15 minutes, or until dumplings are cooked through.
- Add shredded chicken and heat through. Serve hot.

- Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker preparation.
