Description
A simple and hearty chicken noodle soup made in a crock pot.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 1 cup of carrots, sliced
- 1 cup of celery, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cups of egg noodles
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot.
- Add chicken broth, carrots, celery, onion, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Remove the chicken, shred it, and return it to the pot.
- Add the egg noodles and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
- For added flavor, consider adding bay leaves.
- This soup can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
