Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 6 taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • Sour cream and salsa for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  4. While the beef mixture simmers, warm the taco shells according to package instructions.
  5. To assemble the tacos, fill each shell with the beef mixture and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheese.
  6. Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
