- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 6 taco shells
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Sour cream and salsa for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
- While the beef mixture simmers, warm the taco shells according to package instructions.
- To assemble the tacos, fill each shell with the beef mixture and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheese.
- Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
Notes
