Delicious and fluffy sourdough cinnamon rolls.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sourdough starter, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Add flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread brown sugar and raisins on top of the dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  8. Place slices in a greased baking dish.
  9. Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Use active sourdough starter for best results.
  • Feel free to add nuts for extra crunch.
