- 1 lb ground turkey
- 8 oz whole wheat spaghetti
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Cook until softened.
- Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Combine the cooked spaghetti with the sauce. Serve hot with Parmesan cheese if desired.
