  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup espresso or strong coffee
  • for dusting cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, whipped heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Dip ladyfingers briefly in cooled espresso or coffee, making sure not to soak them too long.
  3. Layer half of the dipped ladyfingers in a rectangular dish.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  5. Add a layer of sliced strawberries on top of the mascarpone.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and strawberries.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  8. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.

Notes
