- 2 filet mignon steaks (6 oz each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the filet mignon with salt and pepper.
- Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.
- Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
- Stir in mustard and heavy cream, then simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Pour the sauce over the steaks and serve immediately.
Notes
- Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain juices.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
