Description

Ingredients

  • 500g white fish fillets, cut into chunks
  • 400ml coconut milk
  • 2 cups fish or vegetable broth
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red chili, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
  2. Add chili and cook for another minute.
  3. Pour in coconut milk and broth. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add fish sauce and sugar. Stir well.
  5. Gently add fish chunks. Cook for 5-7 minutes until fish is done.
  6. Remove from heat. Stir in lime juice.
  7. Garnish with cilantro before serving.

  • Use firm white fish like cod or tilapia.
