- 8 oz Emmental cheese, shredded
- 1 clove garlic, halved
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Assorted dippers: bread cubes, vegetables, fruits
Instructions
- Rub the fondue pot with the garlic halves.
- In the pot, combine wine and lemon juice over medium heat.
- Gradually add cheese, stirring until melted.
- Dissolve cornstarch in kirsch and add to the pot.
- Continue stirring until smooth.
- Serve with assorted dippers.

- Use a good quality cheese for best flavor.
- Adjust the thickness by varying the amount of cornstarch.
