- 200g Gruyère cheese
- 200g Emmental cheese
- 1 clove garlic
- 300ml dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh bread cubes for dipping
Instructions
- Rub the inside of the fondue pot with garlic.
- In a pot, heat the wine and lemon juice until warm.
- Gradually add the grated cheeses, stirring constantly until melted.
- Dissolve cornstarch in kirsch and add to the mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer to the fondue pot and keep warm over a flame.
- Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
