Classic French Dip Beef Sandwiches with tender roast beef and savory au jus for dipping.
Ingredients

- 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
- 4 French rolls or hoagie buns
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 2 cups water
- 4 slices provolone cheese (optional)
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare au jus by mixing gravy packet with water in a small saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Butter the inside of each roll and toast in the oven for 3-5 minutes.
- Add roast beef to the au jus and warm for 2 minutes.
- Place beef on rolls, top with cheese if using, and return to oven for 1-2 minutes to melt.
- Serve with small bowls of au jus for dipping.
Notes
- Use high-quality deli roast beef for best results.
- Add sautéed onions for extra flavor.
- Adjust au jus seasoning to taste.
