- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 cup beef or chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère or Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions, salt, and pepper. Cook until caramelized (about 15-20 minutes).
- Add garlic and thyme, cook for 1 minute.
- Transfer onions to a baking dish. Place chicken on top.
- Pour broth over chicken.
- Sprinkle cheeses evenly over chicken.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Broil for 2-3 minutes for a golden top if desired.
