A delicious and easy French toast casserole made in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of bread, cubed
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Grease the crockpot with cooking spray.
  2. Place the cubed bread in the crockpot.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread.
  5. Drizzle maple syrup on top.
  6. Add nuts if using.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  8. Serve warm with additional syrup if desired.
